Kate Trudel has been the Principal of Pierce Elementary School since the fall of 2023. Prior to being Principal at Pierce, Kate was the founding member and Principal of Avondale GATE Magnet School in Rochester Hills, MI. Totaling 18 years in education, Kate has taught and led all different educational levels within elementary and middle school.

Kate's educational journey includes a B.S. in Integrated Science and Elementary Education from Grand Valley State University, an M.Ed. in Middle Grades Science from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Principal Licensure from Wingate University, and a Gifted and Talented Endorsement from Converse College.

Kate, her husband Dan, along with their two children, love to travel, enjoy the outdoors and spend time with their family and friends.
